✦ The Process
Cuttings are harvested from our mature, producing vines the week of your order — never sitting in a warehouse.
Each cutting is cured in shade for 5–7 days to form a protective callous, dramatically improving root-strike rates.
Wrapped in breathable paper, labeled by variety, and boxed with padding. Ships Monday–Wednesday to avoid weekend delays.
Follow our simple planting guide. Most cuttings root within 3–6 weeks and can fruit in their first or second season.
✦ Growing Guide
Dragon fruit is one of the most rewarding tropicals you can grow — drought-tolerant, fast-growing, and spectacular when it blooms. Here's everything you need to get started.
Planting: Place your cutting 2" deep in well-draining cactus or sandy mix. A 5-gallon pot works great; space vines 8–10 ft apart in the ground.
Watering: Water lightly once or twice a week while rooting. Once established, water deeply but infrequently — dragon fruit hates wet feet.
Sunlight: Full sun (6+ hours) is ideal. In extremely hot climates, afternoon shade can prevent sunscorch on young growth.
Support: Dragon fruit is a climbing cactus — give it a strong post or trellis. A 6-ft wooden post per plant works perfectly.
Pollination: Flowers open for only one night! Hand-pollinate with a small brush for guaranteed fruit set, especially for non-self-fertile varieties.
